On December 3, 2024, Ms. Usa Tonaphalin, Director of Agricultural Economics Region 3 (ROAE3), and Ms. Narinpat Lakapunrat, Senior Policy and Planning Analyst from the Agricultural Economic Development Planning Division, participated in the launch event of a research project titled "Small Farmers' Adaptation to Climate Change through Sustainable Agricultural Systems" organized by the Sustainable Agriculture Foundation, an environmental non-governmental organization.
The event was chaired by Mr. Chalerm Songkasri, President of the Sum Sao Subdistrict Administrative Organization, honored the event as its chairman, and was held at the Sum Sao Subdistrict Administrative Organization Meeting Room in Phen District, Udon Thani Province.
The Director of ROAE3 presented key programs and projects addressing climate change under the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives' 2025 plan. These initiatives include reducing greenhouse gas emissions as part of the strategic management plan to mitigate climate change impacts and minimizing agricultural field burning under the national strategic plan for pollution and environmental management, aligned with the 20-Year National Strategy (2017–2037).
