The Office of Agricultural Economics 3 (ROAE 3) attended the Opening Ceremony of the “Plowing and burying stubble, creating sustainable soil, restoring the environment” (KicK off) for fiscal year 2025

On February 2, 2025, Ms. Usa Thonapalin, Director of Office of Agricultural Economics 3, along with her team, participated in the opening ceremony of the "Plowing Stubble for Sustainable Soil and Environmental Restoration" (Kick-off) for Fiscal Year 2025 at Ban Chiang Klom, Na Muang Subdistrict, Prajak Sinlapakhom District, Udon Thani Province.
The event was presided over by Mr. Rachan Sunhua, Governor of Udon Thani Province, with Mr. Kitti Chainimit, Director of the Udon Thani Land Development Station, delivering the opening report. The initiative aims to drive efforts in preventing and addressing the issue of open-field burning in agricultural areas. Its goal is to contribute to the net-zero carbon emissions target by 2070 through the promotion of plowing crop stubble into the soil instead of burning. This practice helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions from agricultural waste burning, mitigating environmental impacts, safeguarding public health, and supporting the country's economy and tourism industry.
