Director of ROAE 8 Participated in Royal Volunteer Public Service and Aquatic Species Conservation Initiative in Honor of His Majesty the King
January 22, 2025, at 09:00 AM., Mr. Nikorn Saengket, Director of the Regional Office of Agricultural Economics 8 ( ROAE 8 ), together with his delegation, participated in the Royal Volunteer Public Service Initiative in tribute to the auspicious occasion of His Majesty King Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua’s Birthday Anniversary on July 28, 2025. The event was held in tandem with a ceremonial release of high-value aquatic species into the pristine natural waters of the Tapee River Basin, Surat Thani Province, as part of the 2025 National Aquatic Resources Enhancement Program. The solemn yet momentous occasion took place at Wat Khao Phang, Moo 3, Khao Phang Subdistrict, Ban Ta Khun District, Surat Thani Province, and was presided over by Mr. Witsak Chamroennusit, Vice Governor of Surat Thani Province.
Beyond its paramount role as a tribute to His Majesty the King’s Birthday Anniversary, this initiative bore an even greater symbolic significance. On January 14, 2025, His Majesty the King’s age reached 26,496 days, a historic milestone equaling the lifespan of His Majesty King Phutthayotfa Chulalok the Great, the illustrious founder of the Chakri Dynasty. This sacred alignment of time imbued the occasion with unparalleled auspiciousness, deepening its resonance among the Thai people and reaffirming the unbroken continuity of royal benevolence across generations. In the meantime, this initiative was not merely a commemorative gesture but a concerted effort to foster sustainable environmental stewardship through the collective engagement of local communities, government agencies, and civil society. By releasing high-value aquatic species into their natural habitat, the project aimed to restore ecological balance, fortify biodiversity, and ensure the long-term viability of aquatic resources. The rejuvenation of the Tapee River Basin is expected to revitalize local fisheries, fortify food security, and enhance economic livelihoods for riverside communities, aligning seamlessly with His Majesty’s enduring royal commitment to environmental preservation and sustainable development. Through this endeavor, the profound legacy of royal conservation efforts continues to manifest in tangible ways, safeguarding Thailand’s natural treasures for posterity and the collective prosperity of our nation.
