Director Oae Zone9,organized a hands-on training workshop for the course “Development of Agricultural Economic Volunteer (AEV) Capacity at Agricultural Productivity Improvement Learning Centers,” for the fiscal year 2025

The Office of Agricultural Economics Region 9 (OAE 9) organized a hands-on training workshop for the course “Development of Agricultural Economic Volunteer (AEV) Capacity at Agricultural Productivity Improvement Learning Centers,” for the fiscal year 2025, at the Pilamid Meeting Room, Longkaeng Nanmoddaeng, Lan Khoi Sub-district, Pa Phayom District, Phatthalung Province. The event was also conducted via Zoom Cloud Meetings. A total of 68 participants from the seven southern provinces under OAE 9’s jurisdiction and 16 staff members from OAE 9 attended.
The workshop was inaugurated by Mrs. Thanyathita Boonyamonkhun, Deputy Secretary-General of the Office of Agricultural Economics (OAE), with Mr. Phaitoon Silaphat, Director of OAE 9, giving the opening remarks and explaining the objectives.
The Director of OAE 9 delivered a special lecture on the topic:
- Measures and Key Agricultural Policies: Ignite Thailand
Specialist lecturers from the central Office of Agricultural Economics (OAE) also delivered two lectures:
- Big Data Management, the use of Public AI systems, and the use of the “AI Drought Warning” dashboard for monitoring drought conditions in Thailand, by Ms. Aree Theeradumrongnukul, Senior Policy and Planning Analyst at the National Agricultural Information Center (NABC).
- The Promotion of Volunteer Activities in the Agricultural Production Restructuring Fund to Enhance National Competitiveness, by Ms. Atchara Aiyarakarnchankul, Director of the Agricultural Fund Administration Division, Agricultural Economics Research Institute.
Additionally, OAE 9's Agricultural Information Division conducted two lectures:
- Reporting Weekly Agricultural Product Prices via the "Price Farm" App, by Ms. Sininat Paisan, Agricultural Statistician, and Ms. Uthaiwan Chitnual, Policy and Planning Analyst.
- Monthly Agricultural Production Situation Reporting via Google Forms, by Ms. Sininat Paisan, Agricultural Statistician, and Ms. Uthaiwan Chitnual, Policy and Planning Analyst.
OAE 9 expects that the Agricultural Economic Volunteers who attended the training will be able to apply the knowledge gained to enhance their capacity and become Smart Officers in line with the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives’ policies, ensuring they stay up-to-date with modern technologies in today’s era.
