The Office of Agricultural Economics (OAE) Region 10 conducted a field assessment of the Sustainable Agriculture Development Project (New Theory Agriculture)
Between March 3 and 9, 2025. Mr.Kijsart Onngernthayakorn, Director of the Office of Agricultural Economics Region 10, Ratchaburi Province, assigned the Research and Evaluation Division to conduct the assessment. The project focuses on the Sustainable Agriculture Development (New Theory Agriculture) for the fiscal year 2025 (with farmers participating in fiscal year 2023).
The assessment was conducted in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province and involved gathering information from two groups: 1) farmers who had previously provided data in fiscal year 2023, and 2) other farmers who participated in fiscal year 2023. The collected data included: 1) general information of the sample farmers, 2) information on participation in the New Theory Agriculture project, 3) testing the knowledge level and preparedness for safe farming, and 4) farmers' satisfaction, issues, and recommendations regarding the project’s operations.
The goal of this assessment is to evaluate the outcomes of the project and study the relationship between New Theory Agriculture and the preparedness for safe farming practices.
