On Wednesday, August 28, 2024, Ms. Thanphicha Theeraratchanan, Director of the Office of Agricultural Economics 2 (Director of ROAE2), assigned Mr. Warit Chusakul, Director of the Research and Evaluation Division, to join the workshop to develop policy recommendations for the development of Thailand's areas in 20 years (Policy Lab for the Future of Highland Development in Thailand) via Zoom. This meeting was chaired by Dr. Siriporn Pitayasophon, Acting Director of the Office of the Higher Education Policy Council, Science, Research and Innovation (NSTDA), who gave an opening speech.

Meeting objectives
- Identify problems and challenges of Thailand's highlands in the next 20 years
- Policy recommendations for the development of Thailand's highlands in the next 20 years
- Integrate topics for research to develop Thailand's highlands in the next 20 years
