Center of Agricultural Information (CAI) has an assignment to Director of Geo-Information (GI) and staff for field survey in Suphan Buri and Chai Nat provinces

     During 12-21 March 2024, Center of Agricultural Information (CAI) has an assignment to Director of Geo-Information (GI) and staff for field survey in Suphan Buri and Chai Nat provinces. The main objective of this field survey is seeking appropriate sample units for rice biophysical collection to develop rice yield model, which is an activity under “Applying the Geo-Informatics for agricultural yield forecasts and spatial data management”. This activity is one main sub-activity under the project of applying GI for enhance agricultural production in 2024. The commodity is defined in the wet season rice 2024 in the two aboveprovinces and the amount of sample units is 45. Subsequently, CAI have the assistance from Regional Office of Agricultural Economics (ROAE) 7 (Chai Nat), Chai Nat Rice Research Center, and agricultural cooperatives at Sri Prachan and Don Chedi (Suphan Buri) on seeking the sample units. In the beginning, we set the sample units which are located in the main districts of rice cultivated areas. The criteria of this seeking are rice cultivated in the wet season rice in 2024, which are planted during mid-April to the beginning of May 2024. Rice variety is focusing on RD variety. The planting dates should be similar toavoid the cross-growing stage. The rice cultivationshould be homogeneous that means planted in the large rice cultivation by avoiding the other land use.
