On December 3, 2024 at 09.30, Ms. Thanphicha Theraratchanon, Director of ROAE2, assigned the KM Working Group of ROAE2 to organize a knowledge exchange activity on "Promote rice planted area and production estimation using space-based technologies in Thailand" via the online Zoom system. Mr. Phutthasak Ritkham, a photogrammetric expert of the Agricultural Information Division, was a speaker, and Mr. Warit Chusakun, Director of the Evaluation Research Division and Chairman of the KM Working Group of ROAE2, was the chairman who welcomed the participants of the activity.

The objective is to enhance the potential of officials in developing and verifying rice planting area data, including the utilization of data obtained from remote sensing in agricultural statistics by using ALOS-2 satellite data and the information technology system (International Asian Harvest Monitoring System for Rice: INAHOR).
