ROAE2 surveyed 6 provinces in accordance with the joint plan with the AIC for fiscal year 2025
November 11 - December 9, 2024 Ms. Thanphichcha Theraratchanon The Director of the Office of Agricultural Economics 2 (Director of the ROAE2) assigned 4 officers under the SSO to jointly survey agricultural information in the areas of responsibility in all 6 provinces (Tak, Sukhothai, Phrae, Nan, Uttaradit, and Phitsanulok) according to the integrated work plan with the Agricultural Information Center (AIC) for fiscal year 2025 as follows:
- Survey the production volume of wet-season rice in the 2024/25 crop year and mature coconuts in 2024
- Survey the production volume and establish test plots for yield per rai (Crop cutting) of wet-season rice in the 2024/25 crop year
- Survey the changes in labor wage rates and production factor prices of dry-season rice in 2025, first-generation animal feed corn in 2024/25, sweet oranges in 2025, second-generation soybeans in 2024/25, Pattavia pineapples in 2024/25, oil palms in 2024, and coffee in 2025
- Survey the production status of agricultural products urgently using the RRA (Rural Rapid Appraisal) method for dry season rice, cassava, potatoes, coffee, and shallots in 2024/25 and rubber in 2025.
In addition, the data obtained from the survey by ROAE2 will be recorded in the data system of the Agricultural Information Center, OAE headquater, for ROAE2 and OAE to analyze and summarize the overall picture at the provincial, regional, and national levels, and compile it as data for consideration in determining agricultural policies and measures to plan the country's agricultural development.
In addition, the intern students were brought to the field (Phitsanulok) to learn various academic techniques and methods and work together, which will help promote and develop skills, knowledge, and understanding, and gain experience to apply to actual work.
